1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ekawe, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

2. User Accounts

To access the platform you must register for an account. There are two account types:

• Creators — individuals who publish and distribute digital materials. Creators must provide valid identification and agree to our content standards before publishing.
• Readers — individuals who access and purchase published materials. Readers must use authorised credentials and may only access content they have legitimately purchased.

3. Intellectual Property

All materials published on Ekawe remain the intellectual property of the respective creators or rights holders. By publishing on Ekawe, creators grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host and distribute their content to authorised readers. Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution, or external sharing of platform content is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination and legal action.

4. Prohibited Conduct

The following activities are strictly prohibited on the platform:

• Circumventing or attempting to bypass digital rights management (DRM) protections.
• Sharing account credentials with unregistered users.
• Uploading content that violates copyright laws or third-party rights.
• Engaging in fraudulent transactions or misrepresenting your identity.
• Using automated tools to scrape, download, or bulk-access platform content.
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users or platform staff.

5. Platform Availability

We strive to maintain continuous platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may result in temporary downtime. We will communicate planned outages in advance where possible.

6. Payments & Fees

Transactions on Ekawe are processed through our secure payment infrastructure. Creators receive payouts according to the commission structure outlined in their creator agreement. All fees are displayed clearly before purchase. By completing a transaction, you authorise the stated charge.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to the platform or its users. You may also close your account at any time through your account settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ekawe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
